Ogle
David Ogle was a well established British Industrial Designer with an
excellent reputation. In 1959 Ogle decided to branch out into car
design and manufacture, his first car, the Ogle 1.5, swiftly entered
production.
Perhaps the most important design from Ogle was the 1962 SX250, which although unsuccessful in manufacturing terms later went on to form the basis of the highly successful Scimitar Coupe. Tragically in the same year David Ogle was killed in a road accident involving one his own cars, an SX1000. Sadly this spelt an end for Ogle car design and manufacturing.
