Jiangling

The Jiangling Motors Corporation Limited, abbreviated JMC, is an automobile manufacturer in China.


Created in 1968, in the Jianxi province, Jiangling Motors Company is one of the 150 companies which is supported by the Chinese government.
The company has been producing their version of the Ford Transit van in a joint venture with Ford Motor Company since 1997, and in 2005 it started to sell an SUV called Landwind on some of the European markets, being the first Chinese company to sell cars in Europe.
Jiangling accounts with the number of its shareholders Ford (29,96% of the capital) and Isuzu (General Motors, 13,62% of the capital).
Figures for 2004: a production of 75 000 units, a sales turnover of 1,22 billion dollars and a profit of 80 millions dollars.
