After starting out as a manufacturer of electric accumulators, in 1968 Jean Bellier built a mini-car with a Solex engine, for children, intended for Road Safety.
Then at the Motor Show in 1976, Jean Bellier launched the veloto, the only vehicle capable of transporting 2 adults while being driven without a licence. The vehicle is started up by pedalling, it is 2 metres long, 1 metre wide, fitted with a 49 cc Solex engine, with a top speed of 30 to 35 km/h, and weighs in at 80 kg.
It was mainly aimed at pensioners who did not have a driving licence.
For several years it was very successful and today it is still finishing its "career" in motor vehicle museums.
Since the European market opened up to licenceless vehicles, Automobiles BELLIER has increased its plant two-fold and has completely restructured its production to meet the surge in demand.
The quality of Automobiles BELLIER is currently recognised in several European companies.

After being exhibited at the Toy Fair in 1972, the Buggy F 85
(polyester body, converted with a 49 cc Solex engine capable of a speed
of 25 km/h and weighing 48 kg) was exported to 48 countries up until
