Mixing the hot styling of the 1963 Corvette Spilt Window with the engineering of a C6 makes this a performance car that demands a second glance. Whether cruisin’ the highways or driving around town, custom Coupe owners admit this car draws attention.
Build Process.
Each custom 1963 Corvette Split Window includes the advanced engineered hinges, latches and weather seals of a modern C6.
Once the most important styling aspects of the C2 models were selected, Karl Kustom’s body shop, from Des Moines, Iowa, teams went to work to hand-fabricate the body to those classic parameters. Finite alterations were painstakingly performed on the prototype and the result is perfection in styling.
Design.
Only the best materials and workmanship go into the making of Karl Kustom Corvettes. The 1963 Corvette Split Window bumpers are made from steel and are triple plated and fit to modern standards. Hood inlays and grills are hand-fabricated using Billet 6061-T6 aluminum material.
Factory door frames are retained and the new body panels are reattached to the platform using modern epoxies and factory-equivalent fasteners. The drive train and mechanicals are all factory GM stock.
Karl Kustom designs each custom Coupe to include the functionality of a C6 complete with a removable roof panel which is stowable in the functioning trunk.
Interior.
All interior seat options are customizable to individual tastes.
