1989 Porsche Panamericana
On his 80th birthday, Ferry Porsche was presented with a ready-to-drive design study based on the 911 Carrera 4.
Completed in just a few months, and given the euphonic name "Panamericana", this model was also displayed at the 1989 International Motor Show in Frankfurt.
The design of the horizontal roof structure strongly influences the subsequent development of the 911 Targa and also provided inspiration for designing a roadster, the current Porsche Boxster.
