Back in the early to mid 1970’s, a BMW dealer in Great Britain named Langley Motors of Thames Ditton, had 2.8 and 3.0 liter Bavaria’s converted into Estate Cars, Station Wagons as we call them in the US.
1974 BMW Bavarian Estate Wagon.
Rumor has it, that about 20 cars were converted, all right hand drive of course.

“We have arranged for a limited number of hand built Estate conversations to be carried out offering practical load carrying capacity combined with BMW’s proven reliability and performance.”
“The BMW Estate Car provides valuable extra internal space without adding an inch to the length of the saloon car. With the back seat folded down, the length of the floor space is over 6’. Even with the back seat in use, there is still over 4’ of usable floor. The maximum interior width is 4’ 8” and the minimum is 2’ 10”. Overall internal height is 2’ 10”.”
